Your Greatness Is Not What You Have. It's What You Give.

Roughly 2-3% of American children are without beds. With over 1,100 students living in the school districts that comprise Illini West, that's close to 30 students who aren't sleeping in a bed each night. Kids who don't sleep well don't grow as well as their peers. Kids who get good sleep tend to get sick less frequently. Plenty of sleep usually translates to better grades, improved emotional health, and healthier home life.

Illini West High School and the IW Key Club would like to make sure every child has a bed to sleep in. Key Club is a student-led, high school organization dedicated to making the world a better place through service. To this end, our Key Club will be sponsoring a bed build with the La Harpe Chapter of Sleep in Heavenly Peace at IWHS on September 27th on the lawn in front of the circle drive. All IWHS students will be eligible to participate.

If you're in the area on that day, drive by and give our students and staff working on the bed build a honk to support their work. If you know of any families that are in need of a bed for their child, please encourage them to apply for a free bed at Sleep in Heavenly Peace.
