Sleep in Heavenly Peace Build Day

On Monday, September 27th, IWHS sponsored a build day with Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SLP) to build beds for children who don't have them. The build day was organized by the

IWHS Key Club. Key Club is a student-led, high school organization dedicated to making the world a better place through service.

The IWHS student body turned out in large numbers to donate their time, talents, and energy to this project. With the help of the SLP team, our students were able to build 14 beds (7 bunk beds) over the course of the day.

SLP Team Member Darrin Higgins said, "We commend the entire school for their willingness to participate in such a worthy cause. The young men and women came to the build area with a smiling face and a helping heart. Each one of them learned how to build, give, and be a team for children they may never meet."

I am truly proud of our students and their commitment to giving back to their community.
