Illini West Senior Brady Johnson noticed that over the last few years the number of students in the weight room was increasing. Things were getting crowded and the equipment was getting a bit dated. So, being the enterprising young man that he is, Brady started a Go Fund Me campaign to add five new squat racks to the weight room and replace the existing equipment. Brady's goal was to raise $10,000 to buy the equipment.
Brady had raised $2,764 when his Go Fund Me campaign caught the eye of IWHS Art Teacher Carrie Buxman and her husband Jason. The Buxman's have provided a donation of $7,236 to bring the total donation to $10,000!
Illini West would like to thank Brady, Carrie, and Jason for their generosity and for being powerful examples of servant leadership in our community.
