Beginning with the 2022-2023 school year, Illini West High School will have licensed counselors from the Mental Health Centers of Western Illinois (MHCWI) available to our students from 9:00-11:00 on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
While IWHS will utilize the counselors for behavioral threat assessments and crisis interventions as well as a staff/self-referral process for students, all students and parents may request general counseling services for their students.
The goal of these new services is to provide early intervention services to improve the safety, security, and climate of our school.
Parents are encouraged to communicate with our High School Counselor Ryan Bliss if they believe their child needs counseling services at school.
