County Schools Facilities Sales Tax - Q & A Fact Sheet

At its October 2022 Board meeting, the Illini West High School District #307 Board of Education voted to "Approve a resolution directing the Regional Superintendent of Schools for The County of Hancock, Illinois, to certify to the County Clerk of said County the question of imposing a retailers’ occupation tax and a service occupation tax to be used exclusively for school facility purposes, school resource officers, and mental health professionals, for submission to the electors of said County at the consolidated election to be held on the 4th day of April, 2023.”


Approved by all school districts in Hancock County, this resolution will appear on the April 4th ballot. Below is a link to a Q&A Fact Sheet regarding the County Schools Facilities Tax.
